Going into the Northwest League's All Star Game Home Run Derby Tuesday night at Everett's Memorial Stadium, Tri-City Dust Devils outfielder Sean Dwyer had just one homer in 36 games and 122 at bats this season. Being the underdog in the competition didn't stop him from pulling off the upset in the competition that preceded the first annual Northwest League All-Star Game.

Dwyer only hit two long balls in the final round of Tuesday's derby, but it was enough to hold off Everett AquaSox's Phillips Castillo and the Eugene Emeralds' Hunter Renfroe. Castillo managed just one and Renfroe was shut out.

Dwyer pocketed $500 for the victory, and he also earned $2,500 for the Everett Boys & Girls Club, which was his designated charity.

The Dust Devils will return to action with a five game stint in Hillsboro.
