They don’t have a singer and haven’t released a CD since 2007, but a new Velvet Revolver DVD is set to be released. ‘Let It Roll – Live In Germany’ will be in stores May 25.

The DVD was filmed in March 2008 at the Palladium in Cologne, Germany, for the legendary Rockpalast TV series. Singer Scott Weiland left Velvet Revolver shortly after this concert, which was in support of their ‘Libertad’ CD. The set features several songs from that album along with hits from ‘Contraband’ such as ‘Fall To Pieces’ and ‘Slither.’ In addition, there are covers of both Guns N’ Roses and Stone Temple Pilots tracks.

Velvet Revolver reunited in January at a tribute concert for John O’Brien. The band performed four songs together (‘Sucker Train Blues,’  ‘She Builds Quick Machines,’‘Slither’ and Pink Floyd’s ‘Wish You Were Here’). Does that mean a full-fledged reunion is on tap? It has been a few months since that show, and there hasn’t been any word one way or the other from the VR camp.

Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum are probably tired of talking about Guns N’ Roses after all the recent hoopla and controversy surrounding the band’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, so some Velvet Revolver talk might be a welcome diversion for them.
