Creed / Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti has been shaking things up with his solo project Tremonti and the outfit’s debut single ‘You Waste Your Time.’ Now, he has released a performance video for the tune.

The Tremonti project also includes rhythm guitarist Eric Friedman and drummer Garrett Whitlock, with Alter Bridge / Creed bassist Brian Marshall handling the low-end. The clip shows Tremonti & Co. rocking out in the studio, specifically Groovemaster Studio in Chicago, and the video features the actual audio from the performance.

‘You Waste Your Time’ is the band’s first single off of the band’s debut album ‘All I Was,’ which is due out July 10. It’s definitely not a waste of time taking a look at the video, as Tremonti proves that he has the talent to step into the limelight as a rock frontman.

As of Friday, Mark Zuckerberg is officially in a relationship with everyone. Facebook’s IPO became available Thursday with shares now being traded for about $43 a piece. And, of course, the occasion was marked with a status update by the founder himself.

It’s been talked about for years and now it’s real. Zuckerberg has “hacked the ‘DAQ” and Facebook has gone public. And, they made $16 billion with the IPO. (Google only made $1.67 billion when it went public in 2004, to give you some perspective.) The social media site is now worth more than Bank Of America and Nike, combined.

The initial stock was sold to select investors on Thursday for a price of $38 a share, but market enthusiasm had them up over $40 when Zuckerberg rang the NASDAQ bell remotely on Friday morning. At this point, the company could end up raising about $18.4 billion if it utilizes an overallotment option reserved to satisfy additional demand for shares.

All of this is investment mumbo-jumbo that means Facebook is worth a lot of money and Zuckerberg is worth a lot more. But, the father of modern social media networking kept it simple and real and very much a sign of the times with a very telling status update on his own Facebook timeline. All he did was list a company on NASDAQ. Like anyone else would. His comment? “This is a pretty awesome hack.”

This morning, Zuckerberg rang the NASDAQ bell remotely from Facebook’s California headquarters.

3 Inches of Blood - Facebook

3 Inches of Blood are among the acts saluting the late Ronnie James Dio this week on the two-year anniversary of his tragic death with their new lyric video for ‘Look Out.’

The clip kicks off with blistering guitar and drums as the camera zooms in on the top of a mountain where a likeness of Dio is overlooking a fiery pit. The pit then serves as the backdrop for the lyrics that pop up throughout the clip.

Singer Cam Pipes says, “It was hard to find the right words for a song honoring Ronnie James Dio, but I hope it is regarded as a fitting tribute to a legendary figure. His impact on the metal community will last forever, and though he may have been small in stature, his contribution to the music scene is larger than most will ever achieve.”

Pipes does a good job of representing for the rock icon, with his vocals soaring right up into the vocal range that Dio was known for. ‘Look Out’ is featured on 3 Inches of Blood’s latest album, ‘Long Live Heavy Metal,’ and follows their recent video for ‘Metal Woman.’

The group is currently on the road in Europe, but will return to the U.S. in June for shows with Municipal Waste and Black Tusk.

Its been a few months since I’ve have seen Elm & Olympia, but no joke, the doods sound better each time I see them live. Great, fun band self described as “funk-laced indie rock for people who like to get down”. Goes hand and hand with The Supervillains, who are definitely no stranger to Ray’s Golden Lion. Dom, Skart, and the crew are always ready to put on a killer performance!

It’s not the first time that a fan has gone overboard at a professional sporting event, but I think this is the first time I have seen it at this magnitude.

Toronto Blue Jay Third Basemen and native Canadian Brett Lawrie was called out on a a couple of bogus…and I mean BOGUS…strike calls. Lawrie then had a few choice words for Home Plate Umpire Bill Miller. Miller ejects Lawrie from the game, and the irate third basemen then throws his helmet at the ground in Miller’s direction. The helmet bounces off the ground and into Miller, which is bringing Lawrie a 4 game suspension, but what happened at the end of the game was the worst act of the whole scenario.

As Miller and the umpiring crew are leaving the field, a “knucklehead” Canadian hucks a cup full of beer at Miller. Wow…dood must be so drunk he forgot he just dropped $10+ dollars on that beer. What a waste.

As a fan of the game, its sad and pretty pathetic to watch someone act like that. Its one thing to heckle/yell at a player or umpire/referee, but actually throwing things that could physically harm someone is over the top. I’m not sure what happened to the fan, but considering the uniformed office in front of Miller, I would guess the fan wasn’t spending the night in his own comfy bed.

I have to mention this…Manny Malito, one of the co-hosts from Washington Sports Network‘s The Blitz, which you can catch Saturday mornings from 10:30am-11:30am on our sister station Newstalk 870 KFLD, made a perfect post on Facebook referencing those DirecTV commercials where if you do this, then this will happen. You know, like the one that says “Don’t have a grand son with a dog collar“…check out his version using this incident:

We’ve watched the guys at Epic Meal Time make massive desserts. We’ve watched them make massive St. Patrick’s Day treats. And we’ve watched them make massive, yet amusing, fools out of themselves. Today, we watch them make the most massive bacon burger ever created by man. And we love them for it.

Because we weren’t at our computers playing ‘Diablo 3’ we decided to watch what Epic Meal Time had in store for us in this episode. What they had was a colossal sandwich with 500 (yes, two zeros after that 5) strips of bacon and likely more than 109,000 calories. We are just a little bit disappointed in ourselves to admit that it actually looks really freakin’ good. Of course, watching Muscles Glasses devour it sort of takes away from its original appeal, but still, we would have liked just one bite.

The good news for the EMT guys? We’re guessing they will be hired to cater the upcoming Susanne Eman wedding.

It was hot yesterday and that reminded me to find my swimsuit. That got me thinking, if women can’t find a bathing suit they like, can they make their own? I discovered on YouTube that many have. Some even recycle old clothing like T-shirts and leggings! I’d be wary of using a T-shirt, however, since “wet T-shirt” might give men the wrong idea. And sorry to be a wet blanket, but one of the DIY experts I found discouraged people from using old towels. It seems like an obvious choice, but apparently wearing a wet towel for hours is not at all comfortable. It also becomes heavy and sags — which your gawkers might not have a problem with, but you likely would.

Tamisha Glashen is not the best public speaker, but she’s easy to follow and has great ideas.

Here’s Tamisha again; similar style, but this one is a REALLY cool idea. She takes shiny leggings she doesn’t want anymore and uses the already-sewn portions to cut the sewing time in half! Leggings sometimes come in colors that go out of style, but anything goes as swimwear, right?

Here’s Tamisha AGAIN (come on, she’s got good ideas). In this one she tells you how to get a swimsuit pattern that will perfectly fit you without having to buy a real sewing pattern.

OK, here’s someone new. It’s all visual and the seamstress is moving a little too fast for my liking, but you get the idea. The music makes me feel like I’m at a weird European rave for DIY sewing fans. And the finished product does not appear to fit all that comfortably, but the end result is a more traditional bikini than what Tamisha was doing. Plus she’s super hot.

Here’s the T-shirt one. I think it’s very clever.

Brave Robot is the creation of Japanese designer Kenji Ishida. Kenji, who is working with a company named JS Robotics, looks to be on the verge of something really cool. The robot is remote controlled and can change into a car and back again into a robot with just the touch of a button.

This “toy” is no joke. It changes all by itself and does not need any help from us earthlings. This is the eighth version of the robot and it looks as though JS Robotics is now working on version nine.

If it’s true that in space no one can hear you scream, it’s especially true for the star of P.O.D.‘s new video for ‘Lost in Forever (Scream).’

The veteran band returns after several years away with their latest single, and the Spence Nicholson-directed video finds them relegated to the desert-like climate of a foreign planet. While the group performs their new single, they are joined by an astronaut wandering the terrain in search of signs of life.

While on his mission, he comes across the likeness of his onetime love in a small red nighty, but every time he gets close, she disappears and he gets further lost in his memories of the past, mirroring the lyrics of the song. After several near misses, the astronaut finally catches up to his love, but is her existence real or merely in his mind? It’s up to the fatigued explorer to figure it out.

‘Lost in Forever (Scream)’ is the new single from the band’s ‘Murdered Love’ album. The disc drops July 10 and is currently available for pre-order in multiple bundle packages at their website. ‘Murdered Love’ sees the band reuniting with their ‘Satellite’ producer Howard Benson, and recapturing some of the sound that catapulted their career last decade.

The group return to the road May 16 in Milwaukee, with shows lined up through early August. After that, they’ll join the Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival in mid-August and will finish out their year on the ShipRocked Cruise in late November.

Dave Hurban, a tattoo artist and piercer working with Kaleidoscope Kreative, decided that he didn’t want to simply strap his iPod Nano onto his wrist like a normal person.  Oh no, Dave wanted his Nano magnetically attached to his body.  Not only did he take extreme measures to keep his iPod so close, but he felt the need to record the entire process.

In the video below, you will see Dave measure the iPod and then drill magnets into his wrist.  Again, this is not for the weak of stomach.

Now, we’ve seen plenty of Apple tattoos, but this is something entirely different.  Dave called this process an iDermal. We have to wonder what happens when the iPod Nano becomes obsolete.

Yes, we think drilling magnets into your wrist is a bit extreme–but we wouldn’t be surprised if Apple’s future products involved implanting things into our brains.  Who knows, maybe Dave is a pioneer.

Two years ago the Carnival of Madness Tour rolled through the Toyota Center in Kennewick with Shinedown, Puddle of Mudd, Sevendust, and 10 Years. The 2011 COM tour missed Tri-Cities, will 2012 be making a return? We will find out the first set of dates and the lineup tomorrow!

Rumors have already begun swirling as to who will be taking the stage…everything from Mastodon to Chevelle, Stone Sour to 10 Years. Considering that Slipknot will be touring on the Rockstar Energry Drink Mayhem Festival, I would guess that Stone Sour is out. Chevelle and 10 years have both done the tours in years past so that could be an option for them again. We will find out full details tomorrow as far as the lineup goes, dates and venues will probably be announced at a later date.

Evanescence singer Amy Lee‘s vocal power is on full display once again in the band’s latest single, ‘Lost in Paradise,’ and it’s leaving behind a little bit of a chemtrail in the new lyric video for the song.

The clip is set against the backdrop of a starry night with a sea of tranquility below, while a bright light that seems like it could have been one of the beings from ‘Cocoon’ moves about the atmosphere leaving the lyrics of the song behind as debris.

The song itself shows Lee’s range from the intimate vocals over the piano-laden strains that begin the track to the growing string backing as the song kicks in and Amy’s heart-wrenching lyrics as she belts, “I have nothing left / And all that I feel is this cruel wanting / We’ve been falling for all this time / And now I’m lost in paradise.”

‘Lost in Paradise’ follows ‘What You Want’ and ‘My Heart Is Broken’ as the third single from the band’s self-titled third album. It’s already been a successful return for Evanescence, as the disc debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Album Chart, and singer Amy Lee was recently rewarded with a Best Vocalist trophy at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards.
