Walla Walla Syrah Named Second Best in the World!
Congratulations to legendary Walla Walla wine maker Charles Smith for producing the second best wine in the world, according to Wine Spectator!
The wine is a 2014 vintage called Powerline Syrah and costs $45. The wine scored an astounding 95 points (out of 100), which earned it the number 2 ranking world wide!
Here's what wine spectator had to say about the wine:
A knockout Syrah, precise and impeccably built but explosive with personality. Smoky roasted meat and floral blackberry aromas combine with bold, supple flavors of dark plum, pepper and licorice. The tannins are big but polished. Drink now through 2024. 1319 cases made.
I'm on the hunt for this wine today...Hey Charles would love to meet you some time!!
