Just like the limerick 'Whisky In A Jar'o', Some things about St. Patrick's day are unclear of it is origin.  We do know that he was British and he was kidnapped by the Irish forced to work as a slave. That is kind of a sad story considering it shaped Ireland's national holiday! The story goes that while he was a slave, he found god. Some say he fled and went back to his home where he became a Catholic priest. He then moved back to Ireland to preach the word of God.

The story also goes that he used the Shamrock to explain the holy trinity. With all that said, it completely cracks me up that St. Patrick's Day is one of the largest drinking holidays in the world.

I know that in Washington, you cannot find a sober person after 7pm! HA

How do you celebrate St. Patrick's day? Do you do it religiously or do you drink religiously? HA I am down with the second one.
