Hoping it will somehow help the Green Bay Packers’ chances against the Seattle Seahawks in Sunday’s NFC championship at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, a Wisconsin classic-rock radio station is banning any Seattle- or Washington-based bands until after the game.

WTF? This is the craziest thing I have ever heard. But yup, you heard right.

Milwaukee’s WLWK ( 94.5 FM) is choosing not to play any bands that have made their marks in the Seattle area. Well, I guess that is their problem.

They’ll be depriving their listeners of bands like Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains, etc. (Apparently, they’ve come to “snuff the rooster?” as the old song says.)

And what’ll be left? The Violent Femmes? Really?

If we compared the two places on music alone, we would crush them — as we are going to in the championship game.

97 Rocks Kelly West will be calling them Thursday during her show to see what they have to say.

Whatever they say, I doubt that this stunt will help them Sunday.
