Yakima Power Outages Caused by Rain

Yakima has been experiencing power outages and now the cause waz found to be pole fires sparked by dust and rain.

Technically the power outages are not just Yakima, but also Walla Walla and Grant counties have had problems according to news reports.

The dust settles on the lines and then when it rains, it mixes with that dust and sparks fires on the poles.

On Saturday Yakima had thousands of people without power because of pole fires but by Sunday the number was below 400.
