A mistake by the Benton County Prosecutors office is going to lead to an earlier release for a child molester after admitting he abused a pre-teen girl daily for over a month. The man, David Vasquez Alcocer, has pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree assault with sexual motivation according to news reports. The charges were reduced from second-degree child molestation after the judge ruled he was not " properly advised of his rights" because his waiver form was in Spanish and not translated to English. That caused the judge to throw out his confession and they only had the girls testimony as evidence.

The Prosecutors Office says that he will send "almost the same amount of time" in jail even though the charges were reduced.
