Introducing the encephalophone, neurologist Thomas Deuel has created an instrument that you can play with your brain!

Initially developing the instrument for musical purposes, Deuel realized he could use it to train victims of neurological diseases or injuries that affect the brain. He wants to use it for therapeutic purposes that are fun for his patients.

The encephalophone uses brain waves to make sound and beats, and even something as trivial as the thought of moving your eyebrow could produce a new sound. The trick to making it work, however, is remaining completely still, while thinking about movement but not actually moving.
