Coin Flip Decides Richland Election After 12,300 Votes End in Dead Tie
Brett Amidan will be the new member of the Richland School Board after a coin toss at the Benton County Auditor's office in Prosser.
Then four contested ballots were examined and it was determined one was a no vote, and the other three supported Amidan. That put the two candidates at a dead tie with 6,178 votes each!
Today's coin toss in Prosser went in Amidan's favor, making it the SECOND election decided in the Mid Columbia this month with a coin flip. The other was for a Kahlotus City Council spot.
Does your vote count? Is it worth reading the information booklet and taking the time to fill out a ballot?
If you live in the Mid Columbia it DEFINITELY counts!
