A shelter dog who finally found a new home was shot in the backyard of that home last year by an unknown passer-by.

Toby survived, but understandably still has trauma and is not coping well in the same home. His caregivers are hoping someone will give him a change of scenery.

Unfortunately, his post-traumatic-stress requires a special-kind of home.

According to the Tri-City Herald, he needs new owners "without children, cats, small dogs or even frequent visitors. Even the ringing of doorbells frightens him."
