Hanford Sirens To Sound During Test Thursday, July 18

If you're up North of Richland, or across the river, the sirens will be a test.

The Department of Energy will be conducting a test of one of the sirens at the Hanford Site.  It is located near the Columbia River, across from the Wahluke Hunting Are.

People within this general area may hear the siren, but no response will be needed.  Announcements indicating it's only a test will be broadcast before and after the siren.

The test will occur between 9 and 10am Thursday, July 18.
