Hit And Run in Moses Lake Led Police to a Crash and Lost Crocs

Five out of six suspects were captured after an early morning hit and run collision on Buell Street in Moses Lake.

Police officers were dispatched to the hit-and-run collision on Friday at about 5 am. While enroute, Police heard shots fired in the area. They quickly located the hit-and-run vehicle. As the driver fled, the vehicle crashed near Valley and Denton in Cascade Valley.

All Six Occupants in the Vehicle Fled the Scene

One of the suspects literally ran out his crocs. With help from, the Grant County Sheriff's Office, and the use of a drone, five of the six suspects were located. The sixth, the driver was identified and charges are expected.

A Firearm was Located in the Suspect Vehicle

While it's not yet clear what the suspects were shooting at, a gun was found in the car, along with fired casings. Prior to law enforcement contact, no one has come forward as a victim of the shots fired.

Suspects Were Taken Into Custody

An 18-year old, Canaan Elliot, was arrested for outstanding warrants. The juvenile suspects were released to their parents, pending completion of cribe lab analysis and the filing of formal charges.
