After much deliberation, I settled on a smaller Living Quarter horse trailer. I was originally looking at a 3-horse trailer with a Tip-out for more room and easier access when I need to broadcast my radio show "on the road," and then I found this Sundowner 2-horse goose-neck trailer, which is in great shape for a 2014.

Many Tri-Citians Travel to Warmer Climates for Winter

It's SMALL, however, but I am just one person, two dogs, and two horses so I should be able to make it work!

It's easy to haul and I'm comfortable with it on the road. I didn't want to be in a rig that needed a lot of room to turn around and back up.

This weekend will be my maiden voyage! My best friend Joan flew in last night and we are headed out for a weekend of horse camping!

She went 'on the air' with me this morning so you may have heard her if you were listening as I broadcast live from my Benton City Home studio.

I'm not sure how to get the hay up in the rack on top of the trailer, so that might be a challenge.

Living on the road in a horse trailer could be interesting.

There is a sofa bed that pulls out that my friend Joan will sleep on that. and I get the bigger area in the bed of the gooseneck.

It has a shower, toilet, stove-top and small fridge. I'm hoping I can make this work.

I am planning on taking my radio show on the road this winter. I will pack up my dogs, horses, and mobile radio equipment and spend one month living out of my horse trailer in Arizona.

It's going to be a tight squeeze. I figure I'll be outside most of the time. My dogs will be happy at this place and there are stalls for my horses too.

For the second month, I'll be renting a gorgeous and very large home along with my sister and brother-in-law. It has room for all four of our horses and we will have all of our dogs with us too.

Four dogs and four horses. It has a pool and is close to mountains for good horse riding.

In the dead of winter, I crave sunshine and really need it to keep active and healthy. So I'm excited to spend my winter where I can hike and ride and stay active all winter.

Of course, the tricky part of all of this will be finding the travel window in which I can avoid icy and snowy weather over the mountain passes.

For this weekend, we will head out and do some horse riding in the mountains of Washington. I think the fall colors will be beautiful!
