A man was arrested last weekend in Oklahoma for opening fire with a sawed-off shotgun at a Civil War re-enactment. Maybe this dude just thought he could play along and get in on the action.  I am sure that he failed to realize that the men and women who were shooting cannons and opening fire themselves were actually using fake rounds.

While investigators were checking, they found the man had fired nine rounds into one of the Civil War tents. One of the actors for the re-enactment suffered an injured arm, but no one was seriously hurt.

The man was identified as Gary Alan Lane. When the police went to Lane's home they found several other weapons.

What should have been Lane's first clue not to actually shoot? Maybe the fact that all the men and women there were dressed in Civil War costumes and that nobody wears that stuff anymore? HA!
