People who are excited about the food trucks on John Dam Plaza and a new McDonald's coming near the Uptown will be pleased to learn three new restaurants are coming to the corner of George Washington Way and Swift.

The biggest addition will be Dupus Boomers, an American pub with two stories and a deck on top. The restaurant was in the WSU-Pullman student union and fared poorly there. It closed in 2012. The owners have a track record of success with other restaurants and love the Tri-Cities so they're trying again with the concept in Richland.

In the adjacent building a Taco Time and Jimmy John's will share a space. An aging strip mall will be replaced with an office building.

With the new hotel/condos open across the street and the expanding CBC and Kadlec campuses to the west, it's prime location for restaurants.
