Kennewick's 1st Popeyes Chicken Opens Soon In The Tri-Cities

Over the last few months on my way to work, I've driven past the construction site in Kennewick on Highway 395 of the new Popeyes Chicken. After much anticipation, it looks like we've got an official opening date.

Popeyes Already Has Restaurants In Yakima And Sunnyside

The first time I was aware of Popeyes was in the Adam Sandler movie "Little Nicky". My son was 8 at the time and he became obsessed with the fast food chain.

We made a special trip to Portland because, at the time, that was the closest Popeyes to the Tri-Cities.

Popeyes finally made it to Yakima and Sunnyside and now we finally have our own in the Tri-Cities opening up soon.

Popeyes in celebration of their grand opening dropped off some hot eats to the Kennewick Police Department as a welcome to the neighborhood.

As I was driving down 395 this morning, I saw a huge banner announcing the official open date for Kennewick's Popeyes. We are just days away from the official opening.

Popeyes has a clever banner that's counting down the days until the opening and this morning it read 8 days.

I'm loving the countdown and it looks like Thursday, August 4th, Tri-Cities will have its very first Popeyes.
