Psychological Disorder Makes People Believe Their Genitals are Shrinking

Well, now I know I'm not crazy - at least not this kind of crazy.

Louisa Lombard, an anthropologist for the University of California Berkeley wrote in Pacific Standard about running into two men who believed their penises were stolen.

Apparently, this is a real psychological disorder called koro.

Typically victims are men, but it's not uncommon for women to suffer from it.

Victims of koro believe their genitals are shrinking or retracting into their body. I can relate, I mean have you seen Dumb and Dumber To?

Victims have been known to tie their penises up to prevent further shrinkage.

The disorder appears to pretty contained, most cases stem from Africa or Asia.

I guess "Hold on to your d*cks!" hits home for some.
