Registration Begins April 11th for 2017 Tours of the Hanford Site

The department of Energy host's tours of the Hanford site each year. There are only 20 tours planned for 2017 and the tours fill up REALLY fast.

I had the opportunity to go on one of theses tours a few years ago and found it to be really interesting. 7 areas will be covered on this years tours they are:

1. Hanford’s Cold Test Facility
2. The Environmental Restoration Disposal Facility
3.  The Plutonium Finishing Plant
4. The 324 Building
5. The 618-10 Burial Ground
6. The 200 West Groundwater Treatment System
7. The Vitrification Plant

Tours will take place weekly beginning May 3rd through September.

Registration opens at 9 a.m. April 11th... don't wait because these tours fill fast!!
