State Patrol Discourages Travel Across Mountain Passes Wednesday
At last word, east-bound lanes over Snoqualmie were closed so crews could remove spun-out vehicles. The Dept. of Transportation and Washington State Patrol warns of a storm today that will only get worse.
There is heavy snow and ice in most mountain passes today.
The Dept. of Transportation is asking holiday travelers to wait until tomorrow, after Wednesday's storm passes.
The worst of Dec. 23's storm is supposed to come in the evening and after crews have a chance to clear the roads, they expect travel to be improved greatly for Christmas Eve.
