I hated when the teacher would say, "Alright class, for tonight's homework..." followed by grumbles (me included). We just studied all day, now you want me to go back home and study more?! Ugh, fine!

Nearly 20,000 children in the Pacific Northwest are in foster care. Moving from school to school makes it hard for them to learn and be prepared for college or the work place. Many drop out before finishing high school. You can help foster children by donating school supplies and allowing them to feel ready and confident for the first day of school (on Aug. 28 in Tri-Cities).
