It's been one year since the nine became the eight. Original bassist and a founding member of Slipknot, Paul Gray, died from an accidental overdose on May 24th, 2010 in a Des Moines, Iowa hotel room. Slipknot Drummer Joey Jordison made a post on his facebook profile yesterday titled, 'Paul'. Check it out after the jump.

Godsmack bassist Robbie Merrill is going to start giving bass lessons online. The first session of the Rock Dawg University webcast will take place on May 27th, with nine more scheduled through July 5th.

Rumors are still unconfirmed that Five Finger Death Punch is in search of a new bassist. Earlier this month rumors online began that FFDP had parted ways with bassist Matt Snell and those rumors were fueled by a flyer that was placed at Hollywood, California's Musicians Institute announcing a Five Finger Death Punch bassist search.
