There’s nothing better than seeing a band you love in a small club where you can feel every little bit of energy coming from the stage. That’s what a group of lucky Green Day fans got Monday night (Aug. 6) in Los Angeles as the band staged a secret show at the Echoplex.

If you’re a Green Day fan, then the next several months are going to be good ones for you, as the band is flooding the marketplace with material. Not all of it is new, either. Ahead of the trio’s upcoming trilogy -’Green Day ¡Uno!’ (Sept. 25), ‘Green Day ¡Dos!’ (Nov. 13) and ‘Green Day ¡Tré!’ (Jan. 15)- the band is also planning a career-spanning, eight-CD box set, due Sept. 4.

Last week, Green Day released ‘Oh Love,’ the first single off their forthcoming ‘Uno!’ album, and the song has already made a major impact at radio. In fact, ‘Oh Love’ becomes just the third song in the history of the Billboard Rock Songs chart to debut at No. 1 on the tally, racking up 13 million first-week audience impressions from 145 reporting stations in the process.
