Two years after the tragic passing of Slipknot bassist Paul Gray, a major development related to his death has surfaced in the case of a Des Moines, Iowa, doctor charged today (Sept. 5) for involuntary manslaughter. Physician Daniel Baldi was busted for over-prescribing narcotic painkillers to his patients, with one of the eight victims being revealed as Paul Gray.

On Friday Slipknot played their first show since the passing of bassist Paul Gray. Performing for 25,000 fans at the Greek installment of the Sonisphere festival in Athens, Slipknot ripped through a 14 song set. According to a review that was posted at SonisphereFestivals.com, Gray's red jumpsuit, his mask and his bass guitar, stood symbolically at the back of the stage alongside his bandmates, who also brought back the classic red jump suits and old school style masks. Stone Sour and Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor sat down with Dave Kim of WGRD before last week's Avalanche Tour stop in Michigan. With Slipknot preparing to play their first shows without bassist Paul Gray, the obvious question is what is the plan for Slipknots future? “Nothing’s happening immediately, I can tell everyone that,” Taylor told WGRD. “We have no plans for an album, we have no plans to do anything other than this tour at the moment.” Taylor also talked about why he hates asians (total joke, btw), his other band Stone Sour, rumors involving him and Velvet Revolver, and his favorite terrible movies like Ice Spiders.
