Saturday was a big night for local band Elm & Olympia. The group was chosen to open for Parachute at the Rock Reactor, which was likely the largest crowd the Richland group ever performed for.

Not only is today the first month of December, but its also the first day to start casting your votes for Othello/Kennewick natives 'Rise From The Fallen' in the 2011 Project Independent.

'Rise From the Fallen', hailing out of the Tri Cities and Othello, are a four piece metal band that recently won the 2011 Project Independent stop in Spokane, WA. They stopped into the Glass Hook studios to talk about what's next up for them with the Project Independent contest and their upcoming show this Thursday with Spineshank, All Gussied Up, and Interim Divine.

If its live music in the Tri Cities, it will be at Rock Reactor and this week you have a chance to catch an up and coming band from Augusta, Kansas named Signum A.D. Just to be straight up...these doods ROCK. They recently released their debut album called ' The Unsilenced' and it sounds much better than what you normally get from a bands first album.
