Nikki Sixx may be touring down under with Motley Crue in Australia, but the bassist is keeping his mind creatively occupied with ideas for his other band Sixx: A.M. as well. In his latest Australian tour journal, the bassist reveals that he's been working on new music during his downtime on the road.

Nikki Sixx has a lot on his plate at the moment, but the Sixx: A.M. bassist and creative force took some time to speak with Loudwire and other reporters during a roundtable interview at the NAMM conference in Anaheim Saturday (Jan. 26).

On Saturday (Jan. 26), Sixx was able to reveal his latest creative venture, the new 'Schecter Sixx' signature series bass, during the NAMM convention in Anaheim, California.

While many may have figured that 2013 would be when we'd see new Motley Crue music, it turns out that Nikki Sixx also has plans for his other band as well. According to a new posting on the Sixx: A.M. Facebook page offered by Sixx himself, the group is looking to release a new album next year.

Sixx found success with his memoir 'The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star' in 2007, and now the bassist has revealed that he'll be turning the book into a Broadway play.
