Rock supergroup Velvet Revolver has been struggling with lineup issues for quite some time now since parting with vocalist Scott Weiland. Conflicting stories on Weiland's place in the band have been prevalent for a year now, but Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash just made it public that the band is "very quietly" looking for a new singer.

Scott Weiland may have reunited with Velvet Revolver for a show early last year, but the singer's comments about getting back together with the band are not exactly having the desired effect.

While the remaining members of Velvet Revolver have been rocking out with their latest solo efforts, former vocalist Scott Weiland seems hopeful about the revival of the band and his potential return as the frontman of the currently defunct supergroup. In fact, he even suggests they are set to start writing new material.

Drummer Matt Sorum looks upon his tenure with Velvet Revolver as some of the best times of his career, but he definitely has some reservations about whether the band will continue.

Well that was fast! The news from Scott Weiland that he was back with Velvet Revolver and planning to record and tour came as a shock to fans, but no one may have been more surprised than guitarist Slash, who offered a denial when quizzed about it by Minneapolis/St. Paul station 93X.

They don’t have a singer and haven’t released a CD since 2007, but a new Velvet Revolver DVD is set to be released. ‘Let It Roll – Live In Germany’ will be in stores May 25.
