I think getting actually expelled for this is a bit harsh, but here's what happened: A bunch of Southridge seniors were going to prank their own school but the plan was foiled by a security guard. So they headed to Kennewick High School and found an unlocked door. They made a mess in the gym (according to reports), but nothing was damaged.

Getting expelled for a playful trespass where nothing was damaged just seems extreme to me. All the angry grown-ups over this must've forgotten what it was like to be 17.

I'm not sure if I'd punish my kid or coach him on how not to get caught next time!

(I have two grown, successful, never-been-in-trouble [or jail] kids).

Maybe they should just get put on "Double Secret Probation!"
