2011 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Fest Lineup Announced

Well...not completely. The full list of bands will be officially named tomorrow at mayhemfest.com, but most of the bands have already been found out. The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival has stepped in and taken the spot of what used to be the largest metal festival of the summer, Ozzfest. Now in it's 4th year in 2011, Mayhem Fest is gearing up for an even bigger and badder year and will be at the White Ruiver Ampitheater in Auburn, WA on July 12th.

The full 13 band lineup will be announced on Wednesday, January 26th, but some of the bands have already been leaked. The "rumored" bands include:

Main Stage: Disturbed, Godsmack, Megadeth
Second Stages: Machine Head, In Flames, Trivium, Suicide Silence, Unearth, Straight Line Stitch, All Shall Perish, and Kingdom of Sorrow.

I gotta say...as much as I enjoy Disturbed, can I please NOT get them on a summer concert bill?! They already played Mayhem Fest in it's inaugural year, then of course did their Music as A Weapon Tour (which is on its 5th go around will be in Yakima this March), plus they headlined the Uproar Festival. ENOUGH with the Disturbed already. Even Godsmack is a veteran to the Mayhem Fest lineup...It's only the 4th year, there are plenty of bands to put on the mainstage. Devildriver and Children of Bodom would have been rad choices...and I'm still hoping for a System of A Down reunion. I'll guess we'll just have to wait a few more hours for the official lineup.
