If you’ve been anxiously awaiting the tour dates and locations of the third annual Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival, today’s the day! Loudwire has the exclusive early look at the dates for the 30-show run in August and September, so check them out below to find out when the massive rock extravaganza will be hitting your ‘hood.

This year’s main stage lineup boasts a massive collection of rock’s biggest chart-toppers, including GodsmackShinedown, StaindPapa Roach and Adelitas Way.

The festival will feature two additional stages with nonstop rock. The Ernie Ball Stage and the Jägermeister Stage will feature performances from P.O.D., In This Moment, Fozzy, Redlight King, Thousand Foot Krutch, Candlelight Red, Deuce and the winner of the 2011 Uproar Battle of the Bands – Mindset Evolution.

Godsmack bassist Robbie Merrill checked in with Loudwire to discuss the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival, and described it as a combination of fun and pure rock. The fun part comes with sharing the stage with his old friends in Staind and Shinedown. “We’re all friends, so to me it was going to be fun and it was going to be a nice easy summer,” explained Merrill. “Uproar is pure rock ‘n’ roll, so fun and rock ‘n’ roll — hey, I don’t think you can beat that, it should be a good day.”

A good day indeed, and Merrill said fans can expect to see him hanging out at the other stages throughout the day, taking in the new talent. “I’ll definitely be hanging out at the second stage and checking out the bands,” admitted Merrill. “There shouldn’t be any monotony going on.”

As Uproar rolls into it’s third year, it’s really building on something great for the rock genre. “There’s a scene there and we know there’s a scene because people come out to the shows,” Merrill said.  “It’s one of those things where there’s so many types of music out touring in the summer time and for us to fill the building is pretty happening.” It’s that kind of turn out that proves that Uproar is not just a concert, it’s an entire rock experience.

Merrill’s bandmate Shannon Larkin summed up the show as “the baddest-ass line up of the year” and Merrill couldn’t agree more, saying, “I can’t take the words out of his mouth, but yes, I agree.”
