4th of July Twenty-Mile Virtual Challenge is Coming to Pasco
Participation in the Pasco Grand Old 4th of July festivities has taken a virtual turn in 2020 as the City of Pasco has announced the coolest 20-mile challenge you'll ever attempt.
In this COVID-19 era of isolation and social distancing, sometimes you have to get creative with your freedom. Show you support freedom by going for the Pasco Grand Old 4th of July 20-Mile Challenge.
The challenge begins Friday, June 19, 2020 and those participating will have the next two weeks, until midnight on July 3rd to complete the 20 miles. The beauty of this is the freedom to tackle the challenge any way you see fit.
Short runs, maybe a mile or two walk per day, or big chunks to knock out at once, it's completely at your pace and for your level of fitness.

A virtual map will track your progress toward the 20-mile goal. After quickly creating an account, you will receive a link where can post your completed miles. If you're really into it, you can continue to log all the miles you knock out all the way until the July 3rd deadline.
All participants receive a T-shirt and a portion of every registration fee ($12) will go to purchasing gift cards to support local businesses. Every person who completes the 20 miles will go into a drawing to win one of these cards.
Virtually make it a social event by inviting your friends, family, and coworkers to complete the challenge too. If anything, its a great chance to just get out of the house and enjoy the great area of the country we live in.
