9/11 Tribute Featuring State Dignitaries Takes Place In Kennewick
The 14th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on America is tomorrow. There will be morning til evening events happening in Kennewick beginning at 6:30 a.m. at the 9/11 Memorial site in the Southridge area of Kennewick.
The 6:30 a.m. sunrise ceremony will begin the changing of the guard every 30 minutes through out the day will moments of silence at 9:03 a.m., 9:37 a.m. and 10:03 a.m. to observe the four plane crashes.
The evening ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m. with key note speaker Lt. Gov. Brad Owen other dignitaries scheduled to appear at the evening event include:Kennewick City Manager Marie Mosley, Kennewick fire Chaplain Bill Lotz, Mayor Steve Young and police Sgt. Mark Weber.
