97 Rock Welcomes Skillet to Kennewick’s Toyota Center on Tuesday

Skillet formed in Memphis, TN in 1996, currently consisting of husband John Cooper, who handles lead vocals and bass; his wife Korey Cooper who provides rhythm guitar, keyboards and backing vocals duties; along with Jen Ledger behind the drum kit and providing backing vocals and the lead guitar shredder is Seth Morrison.
The band, known for its relentless touring schedule, (in 2010 Skillet made Songkick.com's top five Hardest Working Bands) has released ten albums, two of which, Collide and Comatose received Grammy nominations.
Two of their efforts, Comatose and Awake, are certified Platinum and Double Platinum respectively by the RIAA, while Rise and Unleashed are certified Gold as of June 29, 2020.
The latest Skillet record to be released was 2019's Victorious. which dropped August 2nd, almost two years ago.
The band has five certified Platinum songs and another four that have been certified Gold. Skillet was recognized on February 1, 2016, as having recorded the biggest digital single in the history of Christian music since their song "Monster" had amassed over 2.6 million sales.
Skillet went through several line-up changes early in their career, leaving founder John Cooper as the only original member remaining in the band.
