I think law enforcement officials probably keep an open mind in preparation for any given day's activities, but one Benton County Sherrif's deputy dabbled in being the "Crocodile Hunter" this weekend.

A routine traffic stop became an arrest when Deputy Hernandez pulled over a man with a warrant and suspended office. Not too crazy yet, but wait. The driver had a 4 & a half-foot python around his neck at the time of contact. Before making the arrest, Deputy Hernandez relocated the snake to the passenger's seat. When he came back to get the python, it was gone. It took him about 45 minutes to finally find "Baby" after removing the center console. She went "free on her own recognizance" while her presumed owner went to jail.
