As I Lay Dying Vocalist Arrested for Soliciting Wife’s Murder

As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis has been arrested in San Diego after asking an undercover detective to murder his wife. The San Diego Sheriff's Department learned last week that Lambesis had solicited someone to kill his estranged wife and an investigation was immediately underway.

Lambesis has been charged with solicitation of another to commit murder. He has been booked into the Vista Detention Facility.

The news comes as a shock considering that As I Lay Dying is a straight-edged metal band who has stated on numerous occasions that they are "five Christians playing in a band".

As I Lay Dying were scheduled to be the main support on Killswitch Engage's upcoming US Tour that starts on May 30 in Oklahoma. There is no word on a whether there will be a replacement for the band on tour or if they will have someone step in to handle vocals.
