From 2006 – 2010, on average, more impaired driving deaths occurred in August than any other month.* That’s why between August 17 and September 3 extra officers will be looking for DUI drivers during the annual Drive Hammered, Get Nailed campaign.

Yesterday at 5 pm it was 103 in the shade at my home in Kennewick. According to the local news that was only 2 degrees from breaking the record set in 1990. I looked out in my yard and the squirrels were so hot they couldn’t even move.

I had the privilege to join some great friends the other night at one of the newest restaurants in the Tri-Cities. It’s called Fujiyama Japanese Steak House in Kennewick.

Last night the National Weather service issued severe weather warning’s all around the Tri-Cities and lucky for us the bad weather missed us all together. Check out  my photo’s from Terra Blanca winery last night.

One of my favorite things about living in the Columbia Basin is all the wonderful wineries in our back yard.

To commemorate their 85th birthday 7-Eleven is celebrating by giving out free 7.11-counce Slurpees today until 7 p.m.

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. I went boating on the Columbia & Snake rivers. The weather was perfect and I found the perfect river BBQ food.

I went to the show and shine Saturday at the Uptown in Richland to check out the hundreds of custom and classic cars that were a part of the 2012 Cool Desert Nights event. I took pictures of my favorites.Here they are, enjoy!
