A 29-year-old Yakima man arrested for killing a 1-year-old boy in Yakima in 2020 was in court Thursday hoping to get his bail reduced so he can get out of jail. However the hearing for Terrance Chip Ogle was postponed until next Wednesday in Yakima County Superior Court. Ogle is being held in the Yakima County jail on a charge of 2nd degree murder for the killing of 1-year-old Alexander Lynch.
Police say Ogle caused the boys death after striking him in the head
Yakima Police believe Ogle hit the boy causing multiple skull fractures and his death.
An autopsy shows the child died of blunt-force trauma to his head.
Detectives from the special assault unit questioned the mother but so far she has not been arrested.
Police were called to an apartment in the 1200 block of South 72nd Avenue in 2020 where they found the boy injured. The boy was first taken to a Yakima hospital then transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he died.
