Benton County Sheriff Investigating Saturday Night Homicide

The Benton County Sheriff's Office facebook page confirmed a homicide report Saturday night in rural Benton County

Homicide Investigation

On August 10, 2019, at about 9:48 pm, deputies from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 17000 block of 1083 PR NW for a report of an unresponsive female found inside of a residence with gunshot wounds.

When deputies arrived, they contacted the reporting party, who is a family member. Lifesaving measures were attempted, but the female was deceased. The 51-year-old female had several gunshot wounds to the chest.

Benton County Sheriff’s Office detectives responded to the location for the investigation. Based on the investigation, there is probable cause for the arrest of the husband, 55-year-old Silvestre Fuentes Sr.

It is believed Silvestre Fuentes Sr. is driving 1989 Ford Bronco, WA license #BAP2794. The color of the vehicle is red with a cream-colored top. The firearm believed to have been used in the incident has not been recovered.

The incident is still under investigation and further information will be provided on Monday, August 12th. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office is asking for anyone with information concerning the incident to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 509-735-6555 and ask for Detective Sergeant Bob Brockman.
