And the Best Mac & Cheese in the Tri-cities is….

Yesterday was national Mac and Cheese day, so we wanted to know, who in the Tri-cities has the best Mac and Cheese? We did a poll on a few different Tri-cities social media sites and asked the experts! You, you are the experts! There were plenty of opinions and information I have stored in my memory bank for later, but there was one clear winner.

Bombing Range Brewing Company in Richland took the trophy! Ok, ok... I don't have a trophy, but if I did I would hand-deliver it today and ask them to fill it with Mac and Cheese!

I have always considered Mac and Cheese as a side dish, but apparently, this is not your average, everyday, ordinary Mac and Cheese! Bombing Range Brewing Company has entree status Mac & Cheese! There are seven different dishes to choose from and I have been told the BIG popper is a MUST have! It has cream cheese, thin-sliced jalapenos, bacon, and a five cheese blend. I am not a psychic, but I have a vision my lunch today will be the BIG Popper Mac and Cheese entree!  Also on their menu for Mac & Cheese is the 5 Cheese, BEER! Cheese, Pablano, Buffalo Chicken, and the Chicken Alfredo. Congratulations BRBC, you were the fan-favorite in our poll!

So who else made the list you might wonder? Bombing Range Brewing Company really hit it out of the park and if it hadn't been for Magill's there wouldn't have been much of a competition. Magill's actually came in just behind for the second favorite Mac and Cheese in our area. Another thing on my list of things to do today.... try Magill's Buffalo Chicken Mac, apparently, that is a very popular choice. Magill's has a total of nine different Mac & Cheese dishes to choose from and from the reports, they are all delicious.

Also making the list was Porter's Real Barbecue, the people who voted for Porter's RAVED about how delicious their Mac & Cheese was. They may not have gotten the most votes but the descriptions were mouth watering! The Village Bistro, Proof, Swampy's BBQ Sauce & Catering, KC's Biscuits & BBQ, Doggie Style Gourmet, Tri-cities Tap and Barrel, Twigs Bistro & Martini Bar, Baby J's, Fat Olives and Ice Harbor all received excellent recommendations also.

So whether you think Mac and Cheese is a side dish or an entree, there are at least fourteen different local establishments just waiting to share their spin on Mac and Cheese and they want you to decide for yourself. My mind, on the other hand may have just been changed and I will be having my Mac and Cheese tonight as the main course! Remember to be kind and support local businesses!
