Even though I'd say I'm a casual fan of Bob Dylan, I recognize his cultural significance and I am floored he is coming to our town.

There are five songs I'd like to hear for sure. In no particular order, I'm hoping to hear:

Lay Lady Lay

This one is one of my favorite "love" songs when I'm feeling quiet and sentimental.

Don't Think Twice It's Alright

My friend Quinell is a local musician in Tri-Cities and has worked a cover of this song into most of his shows.

Knockin' on Heaven's Door

When the beef between Jon Bon Jovi and Axl Rose was at its peak, Bon Jovi precluded a performance of this song by reminding everyone that it was in fact, a Bob Dylan classic.

The Ballad of Hollis Brown

This is one of the darkest songs in Dylan'd expansive songbook. The story follows Hollis Brown, a farmer in the thick of the Great Depression. Brown decides he must spare his wife and children, including a baby, from the harsh reality of starvation. Hollis Brown goes to the store and spends the last of his money on shotgun shells.

It Ain't Me Babe

This one isn't as heralded as "Like a Rolling Stone" or other Bob Dylan classics, but it's always a fun sing-along for me.

Bob Dylan Albums Ranked

Not so surprisingly, Bob Dylan's recording career has lots of ups and downs. That's bound to happen when you stick around for more than 50 years and release three dozen albums during that time.
