BREAKING: Seahawks Trade for Much-Needed D-Line Help, Get Dunlap

In a series of tweets this morning (Oct. 28), NFL insider Ian Rapoport revealed details on a trade involving the Seattle Seahawks and the Cincinnati Bengals that should help bolster the Hawks much-maligned defensive line.

According to Rapoport, the deal will bring two-time Pro Bowl Defensive End Carlos Dunlap to Seattle. In exchange, GM John Schneider packaged a player and a draft pick.

The Seahawks defense, coached by Ken Norton, Jr., are currently allowing yards at a historically bad pace. Dunlap should help bring pressure on the opponent's quarterback, something that has been sorely lacking in 2020 for Seattle. Dunlap, entering this season -- his 11th -- has averaged just a tick over 8 sacks per game.

Dunlap, 31 and in his 11th season -- all with the Bengals -- had been publicly voicing his displeasure with the organization.
