Chris Davis Hits 50th Home Run of the Year

Many who know me even a little bit know one basic thing. I LOVE THE BALTIMORE ORIOLES. I have since I was 4. Last season was amazing. The Orioles hadn't had a winning season since I was 5. Then, in 2012, they won 93 games and a playoff berth. Even though this season isn't as magical, there is some magic still. Chris Davis, lovingly known as "Crush", hit his 50th home run of the season today against the Blue Jays. He is the first MLB player to go yard 50 times in a season since 2010, when Jose Bautista did it. He's also the third player in history to have 50 homers and 40 doubles in the same season. The others? Babe Ruth in 1921, and Albert Bell in 1995. Even though I am unsure about playoffs this year, I am excited that the 2013 Home Run King is a Baltimore Oriole. I love you, Miguel Cabrera, but suck on this one. Have a great weekend.
