Corrections Officer Arrested For Immoral Communication With a 13-Year Old
From the Kennewick Police Department's facebook page:
On Monday, January 8th, 2018, detectives received a report from the parents of a 13 year old juvenile female alleging a 31 year old male, Roy David Farber, had been inappropriately communicating with their daughter. Roy, a corrections officer at Two Rivers Correctional Institution in Umatilla, OR, is suspected of exchanging numerous notes with the girl and provided her with a cell phone that her parents did not know about. When her parents found the phone they discovered sexually explicit text messages and images and turned the phone and notes over to police. Detectives served a search warrant at Roy’s residence and seized several electronic items to include cell phones and computers to examine for additional evidence. Roy was booked into the Benton County Jail on a 72 hour investigative hold for suspicion of Felony Communication with a Minor for Immoral Purposes. This is an active investigation and additional charges may follow.
