Cougar Found Dead on 240 Near Columbia Park

It was a rough weekend for Cougars this weekend not only at Martin stadium but along Highway 240 in Kennewick as an adult Cougar was found deceased on the roadway this morning

A member of a Facebook group called  Washington State Cougar Sightings posted a photo of a deceased cougar on the westbound side of Highway 240 near the Edison street exit this morning. There were no further details on how the animal ended up there but it appears to have been hit by a motorist.

Kinda scary to think of all the activity at the park over the weekend including the massive car sale, the playground of dreams and the Renaissance fair which drew hundreds of people to the park!
