Warning: Plan For Delays on Tri-Cities Blue Bridge Next Week

Blue Bridge travelers, take note. You'll need to plan for extra travel time.

According to WSDOT, there will be delays on US Highway 395 across the Blue Bridge next week for routine bridge cleaning.

Next week, travelers on US 395 across the Pioneer Memorial Bridge, also known as the “Blue Bridge” will need to plan for several minutes of added travel time.

Make a note of it now, so you're not completely taken by surprise when you encounter a delay next week. WSDOT advises that you add extra time to your commute, or even plan to use alternate routes.

What lanes of the bridge will be closed and when?

Construction crews will close the right northbound lane on Tuesday, June 21st and Wednesday, June 22nd from 9 am to 3:30 pm. The right southbound lane will be closed Thursday, June 23rd, and Friday, June 24th from 9 am to 3:30 pm.

The closures are due to routine maintenance bridge cleaning.
