The community and neighbors in West Pasco have built a tradition that continues to grow and glow for the last 32 years.  This tradition is The Desert Plateau Luminary event....

This annual event is centered on neighbors coming together and taking time to participate in something very simple yet so impactful in bringing neighbors and communities together during the Holidays. This enduring event in West Pasco was started by one person and a few willing neighbors in 1987 and has continued and grown year after year through the tireless work of neighborhood volunteers. This year’s Luminaria display will feature nearly 750 homes and over 25,000 luminaries which homeowners display in front of their homes on the evening of December 16 between 6-10pm.

If you plan to visit and see the luminaries, please bring non-perishable food items to donate to 2nd Harvest ‘Fill The Bus’ organization. Donations will be collected at the McGee Elementary School on Horizon Drive, (watch for the signs). This is also an area where you can park your car and walk neighborhoods.  We ask that you do not park on the street.
