Washington State has its fair share of celebrities, musicians, actors, writers all born and raised in our back yard. Some of them left more than just a mark on the world, some actually changed it for the better.

Bob Barker, Darrington Washington
I promise it's not a joke, Price Is RIght's Bob Barker is from Washington. He was born in Darrington Washington in 1923. Bob would grow up to join the Navy during World War II, he would get a part-time job in radio while in college. After graduating, Bob moved to California to chase after his dreams.
Adam West, Walla Walla
That's right, caped crusader, crime fighter, dark knight, and actor was born in Walla Walla Washington in 1928. He's known for playing TV's Batman in 1966 and becoming a household name around the country. Adam West worked on multiple shows and movies later on in life even return to the role of Batman in a short series and as a guest star.
Colleen Atwood, Yakima
Not only was Colleen Atwood born in Washington but she was born right here in Yakima Washington. Colleen is known for her work as a designer, so much so that her work has been featured in a number of movies, Memoirs of a geisha, Tim Burtons Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and Alice In Wonderland.
Jimmy Hendrix, Seattle
Jimmy Hendrix left his mark on the world quite like no other. Jimmy joined the airforce at the age of 19 later being discharged only a year after. Jimmy would travel to Nashville and then England where he would finally find fame with his music. Jimmy Hendrix is called one of the greatest guitarists to have ever lived and influenced generation after generation with his music. His mark is left not only with his success but the Experience Music Project known as the EMP in Seattle dedicated to music and musicians from Seattle.
Chris Pratt, Lake Stevens
Tho Chris Pratt wasn't born a Washingtonian he was raised one. Growing up in Lake Stevens, Pratt eventually became an actor taking small roles before getting his big break in the NBC show Parks and Recreation. This would later get the attention of director James Gunn who would cast Chris as none other than StarLord in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That's right our boy is all grown up and a Super Hero! Chris still makes trips home to visit family and of course attend all the local sporting events he can, as he is a die-hard Seattle Seahawks fan.
