Federal child pornography charges have been filed against Jeffrey K. Ripley, the former training captain for Benton County Fire District 1.

Ripley was indicted April 4th and has pleaded innocent in U.S. District Court. His trial is set for June 12th.

Ripley, with the district for 25 years, serving as its public spokesperson on some occasions, is accused of receiving child pornography photos and videos between September 2011 and June 2016, and possessing child pornography in June 2016.

The images allegedly involved children younger than 12. Ripley was released against prosecutors petitioning the judge he remain in jail. Ripley got out, but must wear a GPS tracker and can only leave his home to attend religious services and his court dates.

Ripley may not go online, can't visit places where children are present and must strictly adhere to other specific conditions of release you can read about here.
