Don't throw out all your overabundance of produce! Two pet pigs are hoping to take care of it for you.

How cute is this image? I recognized these two lovely ladies immediately on the Nextdoor App. Gertie and Gladys are two Kunekune pigs that belong to my pet-sitter, Samantha Scott.

Gertie and Gladys reside in Kennewick and are named after a couple of special grandmas.

According to Sam, Gladys and Gertie aren't picky at all when it comes to food. They love to eat everything, including watermelon, pumpkins, squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, apples, and zucchini!

The Scott family acquired Gertie when she was just a wee little piglet in the winter. So, she lived inside the family home until it warmed up and they found Gertie a BFF. Gladys entered the picture, and the two get along famously.

However, Gertie and Gladys sometimes have to share with others on the property.

The chickens are especially grateful for garden goods. Sam asks that you don't throw away the enormous zucchini or over-ripe squishy tomatoes.

There are two gorgeous Kunekune pigs who would love to take those extra vegetables off your hands.

After the ladies enjoy a hearty meal of fresh vegetables, they like to wander indoors for belly rubs and snuggles. Then, according to Sam, "They're sent back outside because they're like bulls in a China shop."

Gertie and Gladys get along with everyone on the small farm as long as no one messes with their food.

If you have extra produce for the ladies, you can message Samantha on the Nextdoor App. Sam will be happy to pick it up.
