Gridiron Glory – Locals Still Chasing State Championship Hardware
Add Saturday do-or-die drama to the Friday night lights landscape as this weekend the Round of 16 playoffs are underway for high school footballers:
4A - Chiawana Riverhawks vs. Bothell Cougars
Saturday November 10th, 1:00 p.m. at Edgar Brown Stadium in Pasco. The winner of this contest plays the winner of Skyline and Union. The Union Titans are unbeaten and the overall Number One seed.
3A - Kamiakin Braves vs. O'Dea Fighting Irish
Friday November 9th, 5:00 p.m. at Memorial Stadium in Seattle. This winner of this contest plays the winner of Bethel and Peninsula.
2A - Prosser Mustangs vs. Tumwater Thunderbirds
Saturday, November 10th, 1:00 p.m. at Tumwater Stadium. The winner of this contest will play the winner of Eatonville and Lynden.
1A - Royal Knights vs. Riverside Rams
Friday, November 9th, 7:00 p.m. at Royal High School. Royal the unbeaten #1 seed. The winner of this contest plays the winner of Mt. Baker and Montesano.
1A - Connell Eagles vs. Colville Indians
Saturday November 10th, 1:00 p.m. at Colville High School. The winner of this contest plays the winner of Elma and Meridian.
1A - Zillah Leopards vs. Klahowya Eagles
Friday November 9th, 6:00 p.m. at Zillah High School. The Leopards are unbeaten and the Number Two seed...if they win, they face the victor in the Newport and La Salle contest.
2B - Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars vs. Wahkiakum Mules
Saturday November 10th, 1:00 p.m. at Chiawana High School. TC Prep is unbeaten, and if they can stay that way, they'll face the winner of Reardan and Toledo.
2B - Liberty Christian Patriots vs. Kalama Chinooks
Saturday November 10th, 1:00 p.m. at Chinook Stadium in Kalama. If the Richland school can pull off an upset, they'd play the winner of Pe Ell/Willapa Valley and Northwest Christian School.
